This website is where you will find information about Oviedo’s one and only Toastmasters club. We were founded in 1997 and have been active in Oviedo for over twenty years. Find answers to your questions!
We use Easy Speak as our scheduling and progress management tool. This is where we sign up for meeting roles. This is also where we schedule our speeches.
You should already have an account with Easy Speak if you are a member of our club. If you cannot remember your access credentials, please let the VP Education know so that they may be sent to you. If you are a visitor, you may also be added to our Easy Speak page.
When your account is registered, a confirmation email is sent to you. You MUST click on the confirmation link in that email in order to activate your account! Make note of your User ID and of your Password! Keep them so that you may log in at a later date! If you forget your password, then submit a password reset request and a new password will be sent to you. You MUST click on the confirmation link in that email!
Once you are registered you can submit speech requests. Using the Request a Speech tool in Easy Speak, provide the following information:
The Manual you will be using
The Assignment in that manual you will tackle
The Title of your speech
Your speech Introduction
Your preferred Dates for speaking (1st, 2nd, & 3rd)
If you are not certain about the details, at least enter the manual, assignment, and dates. You can always go back and edit it all later. Your initial purpose is to reserve a speaking slot!
You are encouraged to plan out your scheduled speeches in advance. Sit down and look at the speeches you need in order to achieve your next award. Give yourself time between speeches to properly prepare!
The VPE will schedule your speeches as close to your desired dates as possible.
